If you were to meet Shepherd Pani today, you would struggle to believe that he once swallowed cocaine pellets for money.

But that decision followed a life that had spiralled down to its lowest point. After finishing school unable to read and write, options were limited and Shepherd drifted into a life dominated by alcohol, crime and violence that finally resulted in his fateful decision to earn serious money by becoming a drug mule. On a second run from Brazil, he was caught with a stomach full of drugs.

Finding himself at rock bottom in prison, Shepherd had a profound encounter with Jesus and his life was transformed. Teaching himself to read from a Gideon’s New Testament, his faith flourished. He is now working to help other young men escape from the hopelessness of alcohol and violence.

Never Beyond Hope shows that no matter where you have come from, or what you have done, Jesus can bring hope and restoration.
