Leviticus is possibly the most neglected book in the whole Christian Bible. That is understandable when the reader is pitched immediately into the details of Jewish ceremony and ritual first recorded three-and-a-half thousand years ago. Like a thick forest on a dark night, we are struggling to find our way through. However, if we avoid getting lost in the detail we will discover much about God’s care for his chosen people and we can follow the clear signposts to the good news of Jesus Christ—because he is the ultimate destination of Leviticus. This devotional commentary’ aims to do just that.
