Description

How do we speak of God who is not physical but spirit? We follow the Bible and use body language. We speak of God walking in the Garden, of talking with prophets and kings. Such body language speaks powerfully about the way we understand God acting in this world and relating to it. This book explores how such symbolism appears in the Bible and what it tells us about God. It also examines the way in which some of Jesus’ physical features are described in the Gospels to convey the evangelists’ understanding of his distinctive actions.
