Authority

Description

The very concept of ‘truth’ has been questioned in recent times. Is the notion of ‘your truth’ valid, or is there such a thing as the truth—an ultimate truth that is the same for every person in every place?

Is it up to individuals to decide what is true for them, or is there a higher authority that defines truth? Are all religious or philosophical insights valid, or is there a final authority in matters of belief?

These are questions which Martyn Lloyd-Jones addresses under the theme of authority—the authority of Jesus Christ; the authority of the Scriptures; and the authority of the Holy Spirit.
