Lots of things scared Lucy . . . car rides . . . bigger dogs . . . even hiccups. When someone hiccupped near her, she would try to climb on her mom's head, thinking she would be safe up there. It didn't help. Lucy is a small dog with big fears. Her fears try to trick her into believing things that aren't true--like she can't do things on her own or other dogs are mean and dangerous.
