This 4-page A5 booklet offers an introduction to the Church of England's Five National Safeguarding Standards. Designed for use by Parish Safeguarding Officers, PCCs and church leaders, it provides an overview of the Standards and details the criteria that show how well they are being achieved. The Standards are essential for the Church to understand the quality and impact of its safeguarding activity. They provide a simple construct which integrates the complexity of all safeguarding activity in the Church. The current version of the National Safeguarding Standards were approved by the National Safeguarding Steering Group in July 2023.
