The Balkans by Glenn Myers, briefly untangles the story of pioneering Christian faith in the countries and statelets in the Balkans region: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia. All these experienced economic collapse and political upheavel after the fall of communism. The former Yugoslavia disintegrated through four wars in a single decade. Existing church denominations seemed to be part of the problem, while newer evangelical groups struggled to find a foothold. Yet thousands of people have found new life in Christ, with the strongest Christian movements among the poorest and most despised peoples.
