Dear Nicholas... was originally written as a personal letter from a father to his newly ordained son. Later published for a wider audience it provided encouragement and challenge many approaching ordination. In a new edition, with a Foreword by the Bishop of Chelmsford Stephen Cottrell and an Epilogue by the original addressee, Nicholas Henshall, now Dean of Chelmsford, it is once again available to all who are about to be ordained and indeed all who wish to stop and think about life as a priest in the Church today.
