Galatians

Description

Matthias Bible Guides are what you turn to before the commentaries: in-depth enough to serve as a guide for pastors preparing to preach through books of the Bible, accessible enough for the enthusiastic lay reader or Bible study leader.

In this volume, Edward Loane unpacks the New Testament book of Galatians.

“Galatians includes some of the most difficult verses in the Bible to understand. They require a deep familiarity with the Old Testament and the particular biblical theological understanding of God’s unfolding plan of salvation. Galatians is a perfect example of what Gregory the Great noted in the late sixth century: ‘Scripture is like a river again, broad and deep, shallow enough here for the lamb to go wading, but deep enough there for the elephant to swim’.
