United in Prayer

As Christians we are all uniquely linked together by a simple prayer which “binds our hearts in Christian love” – the Lord’s Prayer. In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus Christ provided His disciples with meaningful instructions about how to pray. When we pray this model prayer with one accord we contribute to the binding together of our hearts in God’s love. The Lord’s prayer is sacred for Christians. We may use it in times of trial as well as ease, to God for help and support. This book provides a deeper study of this “prayer of prayers,” with an overview of its scriptural context, inclusions and order, and an introduction to the Jewish Setting of the prayer. The book concludes with the theme of Christian being united through learning and praying the Lord’s prayer together.
