This exceptional recording does justice to Truro Cathedral as the birthplace of the Anglican Christmas tradition now known as the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, first performed here on Christmas Eve 1880 and where it continues today.

The Festival was adapted for use by Kings College, Cambridge, from 1918.

Blending exquisite classic and contemporary masterpieces, the album is a rich collection of the finest Christmas Choral repertoire, with every composition considered a classic.
